TabHalo Terms

TabHalo is provided to help people calculate and communicate restaurant bill splits. These terms are practical safety notes for using the app. If TabHalo is downloaded from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard licensed application terms may also apply.

1. Review Before Paying

TabHalo uses receipt recognition and user-entered information to estimate item names, totals, taxes, tips, gratuity, service fees, and payer amounts. Receipt recognition can be wrong. Users are responsible for reviewing and correcting the receipt before sending a claim link or requesting payment.

2. Not a Payment Processor

TabHalo does not hold, transmit, settle, refund, or verify funds. Payments are made outside TabHalo through third-party services such as Apple Cash, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Messages, WhatsApp, or banking apps. Users are responsible for confirming that the correct person, amount, and note are used in the payment app.

3. No Financial, Tax, or Legal Advice

TabHalo is a calculation and organization tool. It does not provide financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Restaurant guests and organizers remain responsible for their own payment decisions, disputes, tips, taxes, refunds, and reimbursements.

4. Claim Links

A TabHalo claim link or QR code may reveal receipt details to anyone who receives the link. Share links only with people who should participate in that bill split.

5. Third-Party Services

TabHalo may open or link to third-party apps and services. We do not control those services, their availability, payment rules, account eligibility, fees, refunds, or privacy practices.

6. Availability and Accuracy

TabHalo is provided as-is and may not always be available, accurate, or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, TabHalo and its owner are not responsible for losses, payment mistakes, restaurant disputes, or third-party service issues arising from use of the app.
